Reporting to the Managing Director Europe and based in Signy (Switzerland), the Finance Business Controller is part of the regional Executive Committee and working closely with our 7 European subsidiaries.
Your main accountabilities will be the following:
Business partnering with Europe Managing Director
• Contribute to strategic planning and development as a member of the regional Executive Team
• Manage region’s profitability and drive investments choices accordingly
• Responsibility for the overall financial management, budget, forecasting and internal reporting processes for the region
• Drive continuous improvement in financial planning and reporting processes, leveraging automation and advanced analytics tools
• Close monitoring of all distribution channels
Regional financial consolidation & drive on P&L targets
• Coordinate all activities needed to develop budget and periodic revisions, collecting data from the markets, verifying consistency and providing an accurate aggregation of data before transmission to HQ/Division/Group stakeholders
• Perform periodic analysis of actual versus budget (costs, sales, investments, margins, etc.) to identify the causes of possible discrepancies and propose corrective actions
• Ensure corporate compliance as per regulatory and legal requirements
• Drive performance through accurate analysis of sales, distribution, SISO equations, products activations
Coordination & animation of Finance community in markets
• Indirect management of markets Finance Managers
• Coordinate and assist Country GMs and Finance Managers to carry out the Budgeting and Reporting activities
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and act as a support to local teams
Facilitation & roll out of all operations processes & KPIs
• Define a clear vision for all operations processes (demand planning, business planning, merchandising) and oversee projects for the region
• Cooperate with IT teams to implement new functionalities & tools
• Direct management of a regional team of 3 (Regional Business Planner, IT Manager, Business Analyst).
Master’s degree in finance or economics
8+ years’ experience in a financial business partner role within a retail and wholesale environment
Proven good understanding of operations in a customer service-oriented business
Experience in the analysis and evaluation of performance data, both financial and operational
Commercially astute with the ability to process complex information and able to influence investment choices
Experience of financial governance processes, including risk management and internal audit
Professionalism, conscientiousness, reliability and integrity
Able to prioritize and plan own workload in accordance with strict deadlines
Ability to work proactively and independently, to handle change and to work as part of a team
Good knowledge of SAP, BO/BI, Advanced Excel and Power Point
Fluent in English and French
Strong Transversal leadership towards highly qualified teams GM, CFO, HQ stakeholders
